Join the 2020 Competition

Deans/Directors/PAA Advisors

The Dean/Director/PAA Advisor student nomination process will open on October 30. Deans may nominate up to three students to participate in the competition. Host Sites are eligible to nominate up to five students.

The deadline to nominate students is January 15. Nominated students must confirm their participation by January 25. 

All students will be randomly placed on teams with students from different institutions. 

The competition is open to masters students only. Undergraduate students may not apply nor be nominated.


Students Nominated by Deans/Directors/Pi Alpha Alpha (PAA) Advisors:

Students who have been nominated by a Dean/Director/PAA Advisor to participate in the competition will be notified by a NASPAA Simulation Competition team member.  As a Dean/Director/PAA Advisor nominee, you be placed in the priority applicant pool. The deadline to register is January 25, 2020. 

Students will be notified about their site assignments and teams by January 11, 2020.

Students Self-Registering for the Competition:

Student self-registration will be open from November 20, 2019 to February 1, 2020.

Self-registered students will be notified of their application status and whether or not they have been accepted to participate by January 25.
